You’ll be responsible for operating within the Technology Risk, Compliance and Controls Assurance Framework, ensuring alignment with AGL’s policies, frameworks, and standards. Your work will directly support the delivery of AGL’s Risk and Compliance Frameworks, with a strong focus on data quality, control effectiveness, and actionable insights. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working across business and technology teams, and is passionate about driving a strong risk culture through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance data quality in AGL’s Group Risk Management Tool (ReadiNow), ensuring accurate reporting and control validation. Analyse risk and compliance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Deliver insightful risk reporting to technology and risk committees, and executive stakeholders. Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure risk processes remain effective and fit-for-purpose. Identify and promote risk and compliance best practices across the organisation. Monitor and test IT controls, support remediation efforts, and report on control effectiveness. Provide guidance to control owners to improve poorly designed controls. Highlight key IT controls that significantly impact risk likelihood or consequence, including financial implications. What You’ll Bring Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven risk identification and control assessment. Solid understanding of risk management frameworks and practices. Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels. Adaptability to shifting priorities and business needs. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to influence change through data insights and stakeholder engagement. Experience with IT risk profiles, control assurance, and reporting. Familiarity with Agile methodologies in technology environments. Understanding of the three lines of defence model. Knowledge of regulatory obligations and controls assurance relevant to the energy sector (preferred). Experience with frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and IT best practices (preferred).
