The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Projects Lead - Power to join our Finance Energy Infrastructure Partnering team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Partnering Manager - Power, you will be leading the financial management of complex capital and development projects across APA’s power portfolio. In this role, you will be ensuring robust financial planning, reporting and forecasting while partnering with key stakeholders to drive project success. This is a great opportunity to work across high-impact energy infrastructure projects, contribute to strategic planning and performance, and strengthen collaboration between Finance and the business. Location is flexible with candidates considered in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane. Key Responsibilities Oversee project financials including budgeting, cost tracking, revenue recognition, expense allocation. Manage capital and development project forecasts, challenge assumptions, and surface financial risks or opportunities. Prepare and present monthly project financial performance reports, highlighting cost trends, variances, and actionable insights. Build trusted relationships with project managers, senior stakeholders, and finance teams to influence financial decisions. Strengthen financial acumen across project teams through training and guidance on financial processes. Work with Financial Control and other teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and improve data quality and reporting accuracy. About You Proven experience in financial planning and analysis for capital projects. Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide insights and influence decision-making. Experience with project financial systems for planning, budgeting and reporting (e.g. Adaptive Planning and Power Bi. A continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail. Ability to build relationships and collaborate across finance and operational teams. Strong stakeholder management skills and high-level of emotional intelligence. Power and energy sector experience and knowledge perceived favourably. Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
