St John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60-bed rehabilitation hospital focused on supporting patients to regain independence and improving their quality of life by offering specialist neurological, cardiac, orthopaedic, movement disorder (including Parkinson's disease) and reconditioning programs to patients from across the Mornington Peninsula and Greater Melbourne areas to improve health and wellbeing. Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital You will assist in all aspects of food preparation, equipment handing and the delivery and service of meals to patients, caregivers and visitors within the various areas of the Catering Services Department. The Position Assists with the preparation, plating, delivery of meals and snacks to patients and staff to various locations throughout the Hospital. Prepares, maintains and assists with the provision of meals and snacks in the staff dining room. Assists with the washing of cutlery, crockery and glassware. Assists with the washing up of large heavy-duty pots, pans and other kitchen utensils. Observes and practices all aspects of food, kitchen and personal hygiene. Assists with general kitchen hygiene, washing of walls, floors, refrigerators etc and other areas as requested. You will have knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene and ability to interpret menus correctly. To be successful, you will some knowledge of vegetable, salad and sandwich preparation for large numbers and good interpersonal skills.
