Perioperative Services Our Perioperative Services are situated in a state of the art and expanding facility with 24 operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre, three endoscopy suites, and two Cardiac Cath Labs. As part of our growth, we are adding four additional cutting-edge operating theatres and an additional Cath lab commencing construction in July 2025 for completion early 2026. Equipped with advanced technology, our department supports over 1800 operations each month. We focus on patient-centred care through our day-of-surgery admission points, three Post-Anaesthetic Care Units, and two discharge lounges and are committed to providing the highest standard of care in a collaborative and innovative environment. How you will make an impact As Nurse Manager of our Anaesthetics, PACU & Discharge Lounge team you will: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Anaesthetic and PACU teams, ensuring safe patient care and efficient theatre turnaround. Provide expert guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering excellence in anaesthetic, recovery and discharge lounge care practices. Lead initiatives to support ongoing education, competency development, and professional growth across the team. Identify and implement strategies to enhance workflow, patient experience, and clinical outcomes in anaesthetic and PACU services. Work closely with anaesthetists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and coordinated care delivery. Contribute to the broader perioperative leadership team, fulfilling Nurse Manager responsibilities including workforce planning, compliance, risk management, and quality assurance.
