About the role: The Territory Manager is responsible for generating sales for QED from existing and new customers in the assigned territory. The position reports to the VP of Sales for EMEA / APAC Travel, both domestic and international will be required. The Territory Manager is expected to act in the company’s best interest at all times. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is to meet or exceed the established annual sales goal. Make office presentations and conduct face-to-face meetings with clients. This role involves direct and distribution sales, where appropriate. Actively advocate for distribution partners, working with them closely as an additional resource and business development partner. Assist customers/distributors with on-site product training, installations and troubleshooting as needed. Responsible for following up on all leads and equipment proposals for the territory and reporting results back to the corporate office. Managing distributor relationships, building pipelines, distribution development plans and strategic objectives etc. to ensure a mutually beneficially and sustainable relationship. Work closely with the VP of Sales, Business Development Manager and wider organisation to maximise sales opportunities and ensure strategy and goals are executed. Develop long term relationships with customers and distributors. Develop long term relationships with key regulators. Actively pursue new customers and distributors. Actively promote and sell all new products that QED introduces and ensure development of existing QED product portfolio. Actively search out new product ideas or current product enhancements and work with product managers to share findings and ideas. Work closely with the Inside Technical Sales Rep. on equipment proposals and order entry. Attend local and regional trade shows on QED’s behalf and in support of distribution partners where appropriate. Represent QED with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Update knowledge of pertinent environmental regulations that impact QED products on an on-going basis. Continually sharpen your QED product knowledge and selling techniques. Gather and report on strategic information learned on QED’s competitors. Maintain accurate expense reports and submit them weekly for review and reimbursement. Participate in weekly sales team meetings and monthly one to one sessions with the VP of Sales. Actively maintain a contact database that is shared with QED on a regular basis. Work closely with QED customer service group to support customers experiencing equipment problems. 50-75% travel required. Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Prerequisites: 4 year college degree or equivalent experience required. Previous technical sales experience required, with willingness to obtain additional sales skills through company sponsored seminars, courses, outside reading, etc. Willingness to travel extensively. Technical and sales aptitude required. Experience providing technical and commercial training to distributor partners. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Must be self-starter with the ability to work well with others. Ability to speak English and regional languages. Good working knowledge of MicroSoft Office required and Salesforce.com preferred. Previous experience with environmental projects dealing with groundwater sampling, groundwater remediation, and landfill leachate and landfill gas applications a plus.
