We’re currently seeking a Senior Manager, Health Programs to lead the strategy, design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our health program portfolio across Australia. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in shaping innovative, evidence-based health services that improve outcomes for our members and deliver measurable business value. Reporting to the Group Chief Medical Officer, you’ll be responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of our health programs, from strategic planning and commissioning to implementation, evaluation, and ongoing enhancement. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of initiatives including chronic disease management programs, health screening and assessment, telehealth services, and more, ensuring our offerings are impactful, member-focused, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and executing a robust health program strategy that addresses emerging needs and opportunities Commissioning and managing high-quality, safe and effective programs with internal and external providers Driving innovation across the portfolio with a focus on digital health, data-led insights, and continuous improvement Leading a high-performing team and fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and accountability Ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical quality across all program activities Partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to optimise program outcomes and member experience Let’s talk about you You are a strategic and commercially minded health leader with a passion for improving health outcomes and a deep understanding of healthcare delivery, especially within the private healthcare landscape. You bring experience in program commissioning, co-design and delivery, and can balance clinical excellence with strong business acumen. Your experience in developing innovative health program portfolios will enable you to make a measurable contribution to the organisation’s strategic objectives and position it as a bold innovative leader within the private health sector. What you'll bring: Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or a related field (e.g., nursing, allied health, pharmacy), with extensive experience in healthcare program leadership Proven experience in private healthcare and/or health insurance environments A strong understanding of health innovation, digital and virtual models of care, evaluation methodologies, and human-centred design Highly developed ability to establish strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and successfully lead complex cross-functional initiatives Engaging management style with proven track record in managing high performing teams Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills with a focus on finding practical ways to delivery high quality results At nib, we recognise that some people may only apply when their education, skills and/or experiences are identical to what an employer is looking for in a candidate.
