About the role: This role plays a key role in overseeing all insurance matters across CDC. This includes ensuring appropriate coverage, managing insurance policies, and optimising costs while effectively mitigating risk to the organisation. Other responsibilities include: Manage CDC’s insurance portfolio, ensuring coverage aligns with business needs and obligations Coordinate insurance for construction projects, supporting contract negotiations and pricing discussions Oversee annual property valuations and ensure compliance with levy and audit requirements Review and refine insurance policies, balancing risk, operations, and contractual commitments Liaise directly with CDC’s external insurance broker as the SME, providing guidance and negotiating coverage Monitor insurance spend and performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and risk reduction Lead the end-to-end claims process, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and resolution Provide insurance advice and documentation to support tenders, contracts, and regulatory needs What’s in it for you: CDC offers excellent employment conditions and benefits such as: CDC Academy -Mark your mark by enhancing your professional development with the CDC Academy. About you: You’re an experienced project coordinator with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and cross-functional communication. You have a sharp eye for detail and can confidently interpret complex information, including insurance policies and procedures. While direct experience in the insurance industry is a bonus, it’s not essential. What’s important is your ability to work with precision, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly across teams and with external stakeholders.
