We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to lead and inspire the kitchen team at XS Espresso Bennetts Green . Responsibilities include: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the daily preparation, and specialty dishes featured on the menu dishes. Supervise cooking processes to ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all meals served. Select ingredients and monitor food inventory to maintain freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety standards. Modify recipes when needed to accommodate dietary requirements, seasonal availability, or customer preferences. Oversee and train kitchen assistants and support staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operations. Ensure all food handling and preparation activities comply with hygiene regulations and workplace safety standards. Collaborate with management to develop and refine menu items and special offerings. Minimise food waste and support cost-effective kitchen practices in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Relevant qualification Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef Solid understanding of food preparation, safety, and hygiene best practices Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively under pressure Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering quality food Capable of working independently and contributing to a supportive team culture Work as a team. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
