Join Our Team – Blaster/Painter Opportunity As a result of continued growth and newly awarded contracts, NEPEAN Longwall is currently seeking a Blaster/Painter to join our team in Paget, Mackay. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a global leader in the conveyor industry, working alongside a dedicated, passionate, and results-driven team committed to making a real impact. Key Responsibilities Perform surface preparation and coating application on all capital and refurbished underground longwall equipment. Accurately mix two-pack painting systems in accordance with site-specific paint specifications. Operate both airless and conventional spray painting equipment with a high level of competency and safety. Apply sound mechanical aptitude to prevent ingress of blasting media into sensitive components such as bearings, gearboxes, and machined surfaces. Maintain blasting and painting equipment, including the completion of maintenance schedule reports and related documentation for all inspected or repaired equipment. Support other trade disciplines as required, including steam cleaning and general ancillary tasks. Ensure all work is completed within the allocated timeframes and to quality standards. Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices by demonstrating correct work procedures and best practices. The Right Person We’re looking for someone who brings more than just technical skill to the role. The ideal candidate will have: A strong commitment to safety and the ability to consistently demonstrate safe work practices Reliable transport to and from work A team-oriented mindset with the capability to manage the complexities of the role Clear and effective communication skills Previous underground industry experience or knowledge (highly regarded) A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Painter/Blaster Why Join NEPEAN?
