Central Adelaide Local Health Network Statewide – SA - 5000 AHP3 - $104,180 - $111,746 (pro-rata Salary Packaging and Superannuation Benefits) Location: SA Pharmacy Part-time Contracted Role 4 Aug 2025 to 4 Oct 2026 About the role The Australian Teletrial Program (ATP) is expanding in Regional South Australia to increase clinical trial access for regional SA patients and looking for a Senior Pharmacist to support the team. The role can be based virtually, with a need to visit sites in regional South Australia as needed. The role of the pharmacist in the Teletrial team include: o Develop a comprehensive guideline outlining the process for obtaining approval for clinical trials in each of the 6 rLHNs, including RSS and local LHN ethics research and governance approval o Collaborate with ATP-SA to conduct feasibility assessments of pharmacy-related considerations for regional hospitals, to supply medicines o Establish a clinical trials medicines ordering and dispensing procedure o Address importation and logistical considerations for clinical trials pharmaceutical products o Identify and implement Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training for regional pharmacy staff o Create training packages to ensure appropriate education of regional pharmacy staff in GCP o Serve as the primary contact for medication governance-related teletrials SA Pharmacy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Pharmacist to lead clinical pharmacy services within a specialised area of hospital practice. In this pivotal role, you’ll exercise professional autonomy and high-level decision-making to optimise patient outcomes through safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management. Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams, you’ll deliver expert pharmaceutical advice and drive quality improvement initiatives across the service. This position also provides mentorship and professional leadership to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and students, while contributing to research, education, and clinical governance. You'll play a key role in ensuring policy compliance, promoting service excellence and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within SA Pharmacy's state-wide network.
