Chop 'n Chill in beautiful Port Macquarie is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume venue that offers a unique fusion of Asian and American-style cuisine in a vibrant, relaxed waterfront setting. About the Role: As a Senior Cook, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards, oversee kitchen operations during shifts, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality dishes. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently to a high standard across various sections of the kitchen Supervise junior kitchen staff and provide guidance and training when required Maintain a clean and organized kitchen in line with food safety and hygiene regulations Assist in menu planning, food cost control, and stock rotation Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner during busy service periods Monitor kitchen equipment and report any issues for timely repair Maintain communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Support the Head Chef with ordering and inventory management About You: Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume commercial kitchen Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively in a team environment Excellent time management and organisational skills A passion for food and commitment to quality Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience Why Join Us?
