About The Role The Head of Implementation & Activation Group Director is a full-time position based in Sydney. This role plays a crucial part in supporting OpenDoor’s mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses. This role has regional responsibility across XCM (Australia and Singapore), Prime Video (ANZ), and RMI. The Implementation & Activation is a leadership role within OpenDoor, ensuring we are setting our clients, our people and our agency up for success now and in the future. The role has responsibility for the direction, workflow and quality of omni-channel implementation planning and buying for OpenDoor. About The Team The OpenDoor Implementation & Activation team is responsible for delivering best-in-class implementation planning and activation for Amazon. The scope of the Implementation & Activation team covers the Implementation Planning and Activation of all media channels and touchpoints, with a focus on delivering connected, audience-first client outputs. With our collective industry expertise, we navigate the ever-changing media landscape efficiently and effectively, fuelling growth for the brands we work with. Responsibilities Client Leadership & Strategic Partnership Be a critical senior consultant for your client, spanning Media Negotiations, Implementation Planning and Activation Regularly meet with vendors and partners to drive your client's agenda and future growth Provide strategic insights by acting as an expert on the client's business, industry and competitors Ensure value from strategic local partnerships and global JBPs are maximized Pivotal role in building the agency's reputation for outstanding client service Product Foster a culture of innovative thinking and creativity to develop omni-channel media solutions that raise the bar for Amazon, the agency and industry Ensuring all client KPIs and contractual commitments spanning Media Negotiation, Implementation Planning and Activation are delivered consistently. Collaborate closely with internal product teams including WPP Media proprietary product and service teams to ensure you can clearly articulate the benefits of their solutions Support OpenDoor craft leaders in identifying and implementing tools, technology, data, and automation solutions through the organisation, and then ensuring maximum adoption of best practice. Contribute to global operational excellence requirements, including data governance, reporting and campaign launch management Utilize WPP Open and other cutting-edge tools to demonstrate confident knowledge of media planning principles (e.g. scheduling, flighting, recency, effective reach theories, seasonality, market prioritisation, roles of channel) People Encourage a high-performance culture rooted in curiosity, accountability, and collaboration for the OpenDoor Implementation & Activation team Motivate and empower team to achieve individual, team and organisational goals. Conduct fortnightly 1:1 check-ins, annual Career Conversations and Annual Performance Reviews with direct reports. Liaise with the People Team to resolve any team disputes to ensure a safe and productive team environment. Continuously champion company values to build strong and trusted connections, solution-oriented perspectives and demonstrate that you genuinely care for collective team success. Foster agency-wide knowledge sharing, and continuous learning around point of views, trends, and relevant skills to continue nurturing a high-performing agency. Growth & Marketing Identify, collate and showcase examples of great work from within the team, both internally and externally. Build the agency’s reputation by contributing to entries for awards and competitions and by contributing to industry thought leadership. Be an agency spokesperson on industry subjects with a strong, high profile and positive reputation in the market. Role Requirements Proven capability leading a large, diverse team Great communicator with clear written and verbal communication skills Results Driven.
