Location - 84-90 Maryborough Street, Fyshwick, ACT 2609 Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance Length of Contract: 2 months The role closes on 6th August 2025 Key Responsibilities: The Material Data Officer is responsible under broad direction to perform and achieve complex material logistics work within an integrated workforce. They will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy for the achievement of work outcomes, ensuring compliance within legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defences mission and policy requirements. They will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and They will provide detailed materiel logistics technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. The Material Data Officer may be a team coach, or lead a team, and if so, will be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows, building the team through coaching, feedback and development of quality of work. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development. The Material Data Officer will have a considerable level of stakeholder engagement; the Material Data Officer is expected to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. Essential Experience and Qualifications: The training requirements, or equivalent, of this position are considered fundamental to the Integrate Logistics Manager position(s): Materiel Logistics Practitioners Course (MLPC). Certificate IV Logistics Management. Minimum 6 (six) years' experience. Diploma of Material Logistics. Preferable defense experience: Understanding or user level experience of relevant application(s). Material Codification Catalogue. Configuration Management Tool. Understanding of logistics within the Capability Management process.
