Electrical Engineer, Melbourne to design and commission Electrical , PLC and Control Systems to operate complex automated mechatronic staging, lighting, rigging etc for full design, build to delivery $m projects for leading Melbourne Entertainment Engineering and Theatre Fitout company. The projects ranging from supplying and installing stage lifts and motor control systems that include chain motors, wire rope hoists & winches and other types of movement systems. Salary / Work to $135K depending on experience Monday to Friday RDO Fortnightly Travel within Australia and OS ( 5 days away to Commission Projects Interstate ) Paid OT Fortnightly RDO's Essential Requirements / Qualifications Full Australian Working Rights 3 years electrical engineer with experience designing & commissioning industrial motor control systems. Ability to produce wiring diagrams, schematics and cabinet layouts and commissioning motor control systems is essential. Experience using VFD's and basic PLC's is essential. Experience or a thorough understanding of building control systems is preferable. Experience managing projects up to 1.5 million and teams up to 10 is preferable. Tasks & responsibilities Design electrical and plc panels and lead our electrician team to wire and test and resolve any faults with the panels. Provide wiring diagrams and schematics for control systems that may include Variable Speed drives, physical limits, HMI's, auxiliary inputs etc. for manufacture & installation Designing and supporting electricians to build & install motor control systems Installing and commissioning control systems in schools, construction sites & other commercial spaces Interpreting consultant specifications and drawings and designing systems to suit client & consultant vision. Continually looking for ways to improve the safety, reliability of motor control systems. Experience in basic programming of PLC's & HMI's is required.
