About the Role: An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated an Occupational Therapist to join our team. Responsibilities Provide evidence based, person centred assessment, clinical management, and intervention to people with a cognitive, physical, or psychosocial disability in line with NDIS goals. Represent ClearSky and assigned NDIS participants at NDIS planning and associated meetings in matters associated with Occupational Therapy. Manage a caseload of NDIS participants in their natural settings who may present with increasing complexity, multiple co-morbidities, and functional limitations across multiple areas of their life. Assess the need for modifications to home and other environments accessed by people with a developmental, intellectual, or physical disability. Use occupation assessment checklist(s) and follow prescription requirements and processes when prescribing or recommending equipment. Provide a range of intervention strategies to address needs that relate to, activities of daily living, functional performance, fine motor skills, motor planning, sensory processing, perceptual motor, handling, and sensory integration of Behavioural Competencies. Assess the equipment needs of NDIS participants in relation to daily activities including sleeping, sitting, safe transport, and personal care. Perform all other duties as required. Selection Criteria: Hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy. Pre-existing registration with AHPRA. Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, their families and service providers. Demonstrated knowledge of legislation. Hold a current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR. Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
