Maintenance Operator - Whyalla, SA An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Operator to join a leading operations team in Whyalla. Reporting to the Export Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of a range of equipment at our Port facilities. Rotating Roster: 2 Days / 2 Nights, 5 off - 12-hour shifts 2 Days / 3 Nights, 4 off - 12-hour shifts 3 Days / 2 Nights, 5 off - 12-hour shifts In this hands-on role, you will be performing a variety of maintenance duties, including preventative and breakdown maintenance, and equipment upgrades. The position requires diagnosing faults, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain fixed plant equipment. Conduct preventative, breakdown, and scheduled maintenance. Execute disassembly, installation, and upgrades of plant and equipment. Diagnose faults and provide effective troubleshooting. Lead initiatives aimed at minimizing downtime and improving performance. Prioritize safety while maintaining high-quality standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience in maintenance within a plant or industrial environment. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. A flexible can-do attitude with a team-oriented mindset. Experience with plant and equipment maintenance. Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks performed.
