As our Payroll & Recruitment Officer, you'll be instrumental in managing the entire payroll process ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time and the entire recruitment journey. You'll be working closely with our HR/Office Manager, and your day-to-day will involve: Recruitment Focus: Crafting engaging job ads and getting them out there to attract the best talent. Diving into applications, screening candidates, and conducting phone interviews that make a real connection. Coordinating pre-employment checks (e.g., Medical and Right to Work). Prepping offer letters and making sure new team members have a smooth onboarding experience. Keeping our recruitment systems (like FastTrack) and the Careers page on our website totally up-to-date. Ensuring everything we do is compliant with awards and agreements - staying on top of the latest rules is key! Providing valuable recruitment insights and reports to management. Payroll Focus: End to end payroll processing - fortnightly pay-runs End of month and End of Year reconciliations and roll overs Manage Payroll Inbox Monitor and manage Time and Attendance system (BundyPlus) Process employer and employee change of conditions Process employee payroll statutory deductions Manage all payroll statutory reporting and payments. Employee onboarding and offboarding requirements Provide payroll data for analysis and reporting to UML Management What We're Looking For (You!): A natural communicator: You're confident and clear, whether you're chatting on the phone or crafting an email. Super organised: You can juggle multiple tasks like a pro and hit deadlines without breaking a sweat. Detail-oriented: Nothing gets past you! You're meticulous and ensure accuracy in everything you do. Confidentiality is your middle name: You understand the importance of handling sensitive personnel information with discretion. Tech-savvy: You're comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel are your friends! ) and eager to learn new software. A team player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and love supporting your colleagues. Minimum 2 years of experience in an end-to-end recruitment process or a similar role. Minimum 5 years of experience in an end-to-end payroll role. A completed HR Certificate is desirable! You have a solid understanding of current Australian employment legislation (Privacy, Anti-Discrimination). A keen understanding of National Employment Standards, Australian awards and agreements Experience with MYOB Acumatica , BundyPlus, Broadbean, FastTrack , or SharePoint ? That's a huge plus!
