A little about the role This is a busy role within the firm's Insurance & Compensation practice, where you can contribute your expertise, as an experienced defendant personal injury Lawyer, ideally with VWA panel experience, advising on serious injury, common law and appeals. Typically, your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):- Managing originating motions, damages and statutory benefits litigation; Gathering evidence; Drafting briefs; Preparing/advocating mediations in Court; Direct client contact/file management; Mentoring less experienced colleagues. Skills and experience we'd love Ideally you will have 3 years Defendant or Plaintiff WorkCover experience (i.e. Associate/Senior Associate level) with a desire to develop further. You will: be a self-starter with a 'can do' attitude and the ability to handle own matters; thrive & enjoy a busy file load/client engagement; be able to contribute/guide less experienced members within the team; possess a high level of organisational and communication skills together with a strong 'client service' focus.
