We are assisting our client in manufacturing sector for an experienced Tax Accountant to join their finance team on a part-time basis, overseeing tax compliance and strategic planning across Australia and New Zealand. This is a critical role within a multinational environment, offering the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, ensure compliance, and support both local and global initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead all tax compliance and planning for Australia and New Zealand, including income tax, GST, payroll tax, FBT, and other statutory obligations Prepare and lodge direct and indirect tax returns, reconciliations, and required filings Oversee transfer pricing, tax provision calculations, and internal control compliance (SOX) Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant authorities Provide tax planning advice, manage audits/reviews, and resolve tax issues Drive process improvements within the tax function About You: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline CPA/CA or equivalent qualification Minimum 6 years’ experience in corporate tax within a multinational environment Strong technical knowledge of Australian & NZ corporate tax rules, GST, payroll tax, and FBT Experience with US GAAP and tax provision processes (SAP preferred) Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines within a flexible work schedule Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability
