As a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing the healthcare of older adults, while integrating care with other multidisciplinary team members. Requirements Essential Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia. Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency medicine or equivalent. Possess substantial postgraduate medical experience in emergency medicine and hospital practice. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education. Demonstrated high level of communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and to lead in a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to the effective management of clinical risk and improving quality. Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Saftey, and how these impact on employment and service delivery Eligible for and /or in possession of a current C or C-A class driver’s licence. Desirable:- Experience in rural area medicine. Significant experience in rural and remote emergency medicine or retrieval services. Demonstrated understanding of issues within a cross cultural environment, particularly Aboriginal people. Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical policy.
