Position Purpose The Group Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategic management and operational oversight of all Shadbolt Group facilities across multiple states. This role ensures that our sites, buildings, plant, and equipment are safe, compliant, and optimised for operational efficiency, while supporting the company’s strategic goals and workforce needs. Key Responsibilities Facilities Operations & Maintenance Oversee day-to-day management of all Shadbolt Group facilities, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and appearance. Develop and implement preventative and reactive maintenance schedules for buildings, plant, equipment, and infrastructure. Ensure all facilities meet WHS, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements. Contractor & Vendor Management Source, negotiate, and manage service contracts for cleaning, security, building maintenance, waste management, and utilities. Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are completed to standard, on time, and within budget. Capital Works & Projects Plan and oversee facility upgrades, refurbishments, and relocations. Prepare business cases, budgets, and project timelines for capital works. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet operational needs. Budget & Asset Management Develop and manage annual facilities budgets across all sites. Track and report on expenditure, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Maintain accurate asset registers and ensure lifecycle management strategies are in place. Risk, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety legislation. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Oversee emergency preparedness and business continuity measures. Sustainability & Continuous Improvement Drive energy efficiency, waste reduction, and other sustainability initiatives. Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements in facilities management. Key Relationships Internal: Executive Leadership Team, Site Managers, HSE, HR, Finance, Project Teams.
