Position : Allocator Start : ASAP Duration : Ongoing Salary : $65k - $75K per annum Hours: Full Time Location : Newcastle NSW Overview Join our team as an Allocator where you will play a key role in rostering teams for the provision of traffic control services for our clients, coordinating fleet and ensuring efficient operations. This dynamic position requires strong organisational, administrative and computer skills, a passion for people and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Primary Purpose of the Position Allocators provide scheduling and rostering support to our organisation, playing a pivotal role in the seamless coordination of staff, traffic control services, fleet and equipment. Reporting to the Director and Head of Traffic, Allocators use their organisational, communication and problem-solving skills to enhance efficiency to our operations. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities Rostering of staff and vehicles Scheduling high volume traffic control services Maximisation of fleet and equipment utilisation Organise vehicle maintenance schedule Assist with drug and alcohol testing if suitably qualified Accommodation booking Monitor, allocate and control PPE Answering calls and helping with service enquiries After hours on-call phone Ensure client schedules are filled Ensure continuality of client service is maintained Reporting safety concerns to planner and management Communication of SWMS, TMP and TGSs to team Assist with recruitment and induction of new staff Tracking staff qualifications to ensure compliance Updating database with client and employee details and notes General administration duties Other duties as directed by the company Essential Criteria Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar rostering or scheduling role (preferred) Experience in Traffic Control and/or Recruitment industry would be highly advantageous Strong time management abilities with a keen eye for detail. Strong computer and administrative skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to stay calm and maintain professionalism in a high-pressure environment Passionate about working with people Confident telephone manner Being motivated by challenges, problems, deadlines, and targets Organisational skills and ability to multitask Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting others.
