About The Organisation: Located in the heart of Leongatha, our practice is a well-established and vibrant medical centre with a long history of providing high-quality care to our local community. We pride ourselves on our friendly, supportive, and family-oriented team, which includes 22 doctors, many of whom work part-time, as well as a team of 10 reception staff and nurses. The practice operates out of a charming, character-filled building with 12 consultation rooms, offering a warm and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. We also have a second practice branch, which we rent from the local hospital. With a busy patient load and a strong demand for services, we are looking for a committed Fellowed GP Specialist to join our team and contribute to the growing healthcare needs of our region. About Your Role: Provide high-quality medical care to a diverse patient base. Manage consultations in a well-established and busy medical practice. Support the broader health services in the community, including opportunities for VMO shifts at the local hospital. Assist with a variety of services including immunisations (child, adult, travel), care planning, and general practice duties. Work alongside a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and support staff, with the flexibility to work part-time or full-time. Foster long-term relationships with patients and be an integral part of the community. Contribute to the growth of the practice and provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and interns. Your Desired Skills & Experience: Fellowed GP Specialist (FRACGP, FACRRM, or equivalent). VR status is essential for this role. Ability to commit to a long-term position and integrate into the local community. Previous experience in general practice and a passion for rural healthcare. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team. An interest in working with a diverse patient base and contributing to health services across the region.
