We are seeking a Technical Advisor (Semi-Productive) to blend hands-on diagnostic expertise with leadership and mentoring. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality servicing and repairs while ensuring every guest leaves with a smile. About the role: Conduct pre-work inspections with customers to understand their concerns Ensure a seamless guest experience from check-in to vehicle collection Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on a wide range of makes and models Identify and report on service, repair, and warranty work accurately Road test vehicles and carry out quality control checks Perform minor and major services to manufacturer and dealership specifications Provide clear explanations, accurate estimates, and timely updates to guests Process payments, manage parts follow-ups, and maintain accurate data Maintain a safe workshop environment and oversee technician repairs Contribute to a positive, team-focused workplace Skills & experience: Full Australian Trade Motor Mechanic Qualifications Proven diagnostic and repair expertise across multiple brands Ability to problem-solve and work under pressure Strong attention to detail with a “right first time” mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Toyota experience highly regarded but not essential Current manual driver’s licence What’s on offer: Attractive salary training opportunities long-term career growth Semi-productive role – keep your hands on the tools while leading and mentoring Be part of a trusted Gold Coast automotive group with over 25 years’ service excellence
