About the Role We have an opportunity for an energetic, driven and passionate Chef to join our Sunset Restaurant Team on a Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Head Chef, this role would suit someone with experiences in Club environments with the potential to develop future leadership capabilities. This Full-time position will be required to work a roster based on operational requirements. Applicants must be available to work weekends, public holidays, weekdays and nights. Where practicable, we do endeavour to balance rosters with other personal commitments. Key Responsibilities : Setting up workstation according to Kitchen guidelines Timely preparation of all food items demonstrating high levels of Food Safety Following recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant Restocking all items as needed throughout shift Maintaining sanitary conditions in all food areas ensuring food is stored correctly and that tools of the trade are cleaned correctly Food Preparation and Presentation Ensuring menus, standards, procedures and processes are followed Assisting with the cleaning, sanitation, organisation of kitchen, walk-in cold rooms and all storage areas Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef The successful applicant will possess the following : Minimum 2 years in a similar high volume / fast paced Club / Hotel operation Cert IV Trade qualifications / Cert IV Kitchen Management or Diploma of Hospitality or equivalent Extensive cooking and production experience Demonstrated professional cooking and knife handling skills Passion and commitment to consistently delivering high quality products to meet customer expectations Food Safety qualifications and strong knowledge of food safety auditing, reporting, systems and processes Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Australian Citizen or Resident with full work rights In addition to the above the applicant must be able to demonstrate the following : Ability to take direction Work autonomously Positive energy and enthusiasm towards all tasks Ensure expectations of service are consistently met Have the ability to work in a team environment Have the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Commitment to the Team and the Club High standard of hygiene and personal presentation Reliability to work rostered shifts during days, night and weekends Have initiative, commitment and above all a passion for food / service Benefits and Culture : Values based and supportive culture and leadership Career advancement Southside location, centrally located 5-10 mins from the Pacific highway and Gateway motorway, free undercover onsite parking, easily accessible by public transport.
