We are looking for an experienced and delivery-focused Senior Integration Developer to join the Integration Competency Centre within the Bureau's Data & Digital Group (DDG). The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and deployment of integration services across a complex data and integration environment. This role involves working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality integration solutions using RESTful APIs, Web Services, message queuing, file transfers, and database interactions. The Senior Integration Developer will also contribute to the creation and maintenance of a library of integration patterns, support performance and security testing, and ensure the integration platform meets non-functional requirements. The key duties of the position include The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: • Lead the end-to-end delivery of integration services, including requirements analysis, solution architecture, detailed design, development, testing, deployment, and transition to support. • Provide expert-level guidance on integration technologies, patterns, and best practices, including RESTful APIs, message queuing, managed file transfers, and legacy system integration. • Architect and implement complex integration solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, and security. • Develop and maintain a strategic library of reusable integration patterns to standardise and accelerate solution delivery across the Bureau. • Manage and optimise the integration platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and continuous improvement of platform capabilities. • Mentor and coach technical staff, fostering capability development and promoting adherence to integration standards and practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of systems and data flows across the Bureau. • Contribute to strategic planning and business improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency in integration delivery. • Ensure compliance with APS values, security clearance requirements, and WHS policies, maintaining a high standard of professional conduct and accountability. • Perform other duties as assigned.
