The key duties of the position include The Role The APS 5 Knowledge Management Officer is accountable under limited direction to deliver essential Information Management (IM) administrative, technical support, asset management and routine governance activities across Military Personnel Division (MPD), including the necessary upgrades to MPD conferencing facilities within Brindabella Park Bldg. 29. The APS 5 Knowledge Management Officer is the first point of contact for the MPD workforce for any IM related issues, as well as engagement with Joint Capabilities Group, Defence Data Group and their respective contractors, to ensure solutions are completed in a timely manner. MPD has a large remote workforce and ongoing support is crucial to enable MPD business and integration functionality. The APS 5 Knowledge Management Officer provides essential support to the implementation of various ICT projects, Objective restructure, Intranet renewal project and MPD Business Management Systems. About our Team The Information Management Team in Military Personnel Division is a small team that integrates with the broader workforce of APS staff, consultants, and Military members to achieve outcomes that are based around how MPD manage their information for now and into the future. The IM team supports the development of a divisional wide coordinated approach to information and records management within Objective, the oversight of conference rooms in BP29, development of training materials to improve compliance or the development and sustainment of approved business processes in the business management system and other collaboration tools.
