The key duties of the position include The Role As a Senior Mechanical Engineer within the Collins Submarine Program you will be part of a specialised team responsible for supporting Australia's submarine capability. This role will require technical experience covering a variety of submarine mechanical systems, with a specific emphasis on: Submarine Cooling systems; Submarine Ventilation system; and Submarine Auxiliary systems. The role will require ability to gain and exercise a technical SQEP delegation for mechanical systems. Knowledge of Ships Information Management System (SIMS) and Collins Authorised Materiel Seaworthiness Delivery Organisation (AMSDO) practices would be beneficial to the role. Familiarisation with Collins class program, platform design and Life of Type Extension (LOTE) project would be beneficial to the role.
