Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef specialising in Lebanese cuisine to join our team at a My Guardian facility located in the Bankstown area. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Arabic, have a strong background in Lebanese culinary traditions, hold a Certificate III in Hospitality, and be committed to preparing healthy, flavourful meals in accordance with dietary guidelines. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of traditional and contemporary Lebanese dishes for facility clients and staff. Plan weekly menus that meet nutritional requirements and dietary needs. Ensure all meals are prepared in a safe, hygienic, and timely manner. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen in line with food safety standards. Manage stock levels, place orders, and monitor inventory. Communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking clients and staff to understand cultural and dietary preferences. Collaborate with facility staff to ensure meals meet individual client needs. Adhere to food handling, hygiene, and OH&S regulations at all times. Requirements Certificate III in Hospitality (Essential). Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Certificate IV in Commercial cookery (Essential). Food safety handler certificate. Proven experience in preparing Lebanese cuisine in a commercial kitchen environment. Fluent in Arabic (Essential). Previous experience in Aged Care setting (Preferred). Understanding of dietary requirements and cultural preferences related to food. Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards. Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team setting. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Full working rights in Australia.
