With over three decades of experience, A1 Locksmiths specialises in: Emergency lock repairs and replacements Residential and commercial security systems Access control solutions Restricted key systems Digital door locks Supply and installation of safes and padlocks for homes, offices, warehouses, and schools The Role A1 Locksmiths is seeking a full-time Apprentice Locksmith to join its experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while working hands-on in a dynamic and supportive environment. Duties Include Assisting with key cutting (key duplication) Helping to rekey locks (modifying internal lock components) Installing basic locks and door hardware (e.g., handles, deadbolts) Working on residential, commercial, and automotive locks General workshop and vehicle cleaning Answering phones and providing customer service Assisting with the installation of safes and other secure equipment The Ideal Candidate The ideal apprentice locksmith is a practical, mechanically minded individual with strong attention to detail and a desire to learn. They will be reliable, honest, and committed to building a career in the locksmithing trade. Key Selection Criteria Committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship in Locksmithing Holds a current WA driver’s licence or working towards obtaining one (manual licence preferred and required in the future) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Reliable, honest, and punctual Mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail Willingness to follow instructions and take initiative Ability to work independently and as part of a team Presentable with a neat and tidy appearance Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (clean record required) Willing and able to attend Kwinana TAFE for block training (2-week blocks, 4 times per year) Work Locations Workshop and mobile service based from Morley Additional service location at, Mandurah Please note: To be eligible for an Apprenticeship or Traineeship, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have full working rights.
