Position: Field Operator – Utilities Location: Karratha, Western Australia Project: Project Ceres – Perdaman Urea Plant Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent ____ Summary The Field Operator – Utilities is responsible for the safe and efficient field operation of utility systems at the Ammonia & Urea Fertilizers Plant. The role includes performing field rounds, monitoring equipment, executing local operations, and supporting plant startups and shutdowns to ensure continuous utility and power supply to the production units. ____ Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of utility systems: steam, air, water, power. Knowledge of safety procedures, PTW, and equipment isolation. Ability to read P&IDs, SOPs, and follow technical instructions. Good communication and teamwork under pressure. ____ Working Conditions Shift-based role (day/night rotation), including weekends and holidays. Industrial plant environment with heat, noise, and chemical exposure. Use of PPE is mandatory. It requires walking, climbing, and manual handling of equipment. Located in Karratha, the plant will use feedstock from Woodside under a 20-year supply agreement and has a 20-year offtake agreement with Incitec Pivot. Urea is a safe, non-toxic fertiliser vital for boosting global agricultural productivity.
