Advanced Trainee Registrar – General Medicine The Opportunity Join one of Victoria’s largest and most respected public health services as a General Medicine Advanced Trainee Registrar. This position offers wide clinical exposure, hands-on experience managing complex medical cases, and the chance to work closely with experienced consultants across diverse specialty teams. Position Highlights 12-month full-time contract starting February 2026 86 hours per fortnight (inclusive of 10 hours dedicated training time) Daily consultant-led ward rounds with opportunities to lead under supervision Rotations available in Gastroenterology, Neurology/Renal, and Endocrinology Exposure to acute and chronic cases via Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and outpatient clinics Supportive team structure including Interns, HMOs, BPTs, and senior clinicians About the Hospital Over 400 beds A leading referral centre for the Central Highlands region Comprehensive services including: Emergency Medicine Cardiology Women’s & Children’s Health Oncology, Renal, Rehabilitation, Mental Health Aged Care, Palliative Care, and more * Teaching hospital with active consultant supervision, education, and mentoring Location Located just 2 hours from Melbourne, this vibrant regional city combines the best of urban convenience with country charm.
