Job Description About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Open Cut Examiner to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Production team and reporting directly to the Mining Superintendent, you will be responsible for: Provide leadership and direction to a team of mining operators and step-up supervisors. Clearly communicating and articulating expectations. Developing and maintaining a cohesive team through consistent visible leadership . Promoting continuous improvement by challenging work practices and encouraging employee participation in new concepts. Driving consistent and fair accountability across in line with Rolleston’s SHMS. Engagement with Technical Services and Maintenance teams to make sure plans are accurate and optimised. Provide technical guidance in complex mining areas. About you The be successful in this role, you will have: Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency and current practicing certificate with a passion for driving performance through effective strong leadership. Extensive experience in the industry across multiple mining methods. Have an extremely high drive to learn and grow your skills to be the best version of yourself. Standout leadership capabilities that will allow you to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of our business and manage large teams. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills that will allow you to positively influence our culture at Rolleston. Ability to maintain a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
