Employer - Macfab Engineering Position : Full Time Location : Albury NSW Salary : $70,000 - $80,000 a year Macfab Engineering supplies metal fabrications and offers site installations on mechanical projects for some of Australia’s largest infrastructure projects. Macfab Engineering manufactures and installs structural, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum and sheet metal fabrications for most specialist areas of industry. Their projects are as diverse as supplying bridge components for freeways, structural steel for commercial buildings and welded metal products for railways. Macfab Engineering is currently looking for motivated, hardworking and experienced Metal Fabricator to join their team Duties and Responsibilities: Review drawings and job specifications to determine work requirements. Assemble components as per engineering blueprints. Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools. Prepare material for welding, cutting or fabrication. Maintain records of work orders and materials used. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Minimize exposure to hazards to prevent incidents and injuries to the greatest possible extent. MIG weld sheet metal consisting of galvanized, aluminium and stainless steel. Grinding and finishing completed products and performing quality checks on completed products. Fabricate and weld product in accordance with procedures and drawings. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications: Relevant Trade Qualification At least 2 years relevant working experience Ability to read and understand job sheets and drawings, reading instructions and take direction.
