South Australia Police Job reference: 681653 Location: 5000 - ADELAIDE Job status: Short Term Contract Eligibility: Open to Everyone Term, full-time vacancy for up to six months with the possibility of extension The Senior Prosecuting Solicitor, Prosecution Training Unit (PTU) is accountable to the Manager, PTU for the provision of prosecution services including adjudication, negotiation and advocacy and is actively involved in the provision of staff development and education. The Senior Prosecuting Solicitor PTU is expected to actively co-ordinate the training and professional development function with regard to solicitors within the prosecution function, in addition to developing, reviewing and conducting training more generally. The incumbent is also responsible for providing direction, development, leadership and support and for ensuring the health and safety of those under their supervision for the duration of any training courses, and providing guidance to all staff more generally. The Senior Prosecuting Solicitor is expected to act in accordance with the ethics of the legal profession. Requirements A degree in law and admitted (or eligible to be admitted) as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia.Possession of an unrestricted practicing certificate.
