We seek a committed and dedicated Engineering Manager for an immediate start. About the Role: Reporting to the National Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Officer, the Engineering Manager is responsible for taking the lead on project and maintenance work, while guiding and managing a small team of engineering professionals. Your key Responsibilities will include: Providing hands on leadership, including participating in key project work and critical breakdowns, while guiding and directing others Lead upgrade and installation projects in partnership with engineering team members, operational staff and contractors to ensure that project scope of time, cost and project deliverables are achieved Research, suggest, source and commission new plant and equipment for upgrades and new project work In partnership with the Senior Leadership team, you will ensure that all plant and equipment is running efficiently and in safe working order Ensure that preventative maintenance is completed in line with the schedule and tracked within our maintenance system Endeavour to keep all machinery downtime to a minimumto support the achievement of all targets and KPI’s Proactively engages in regular plant assessment to identify efficiency improvement initiatives and improved automation opportunities and the creation of supporting Capex submissions Ensures that the financial management of work is aligned to budgetary requirements each month Ensures that the management of staff and contractors on site is completed in line with the WHSMS and budget measures Ensures compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety guidelines This position does not provide the ability to work from home. About you: Tertiary qualifications and/or Trade qualified (either Mechanical or Electrical) with relevant experience in management of plant maintenance & projects 5 years’ experience in the same or a similar position Successful management of relationships with suppliers and research & development teams to maintain current industry knowledge and leverage advantages of new developments for the business Experience leading projects from start to finish Experiences with Leading and implementing corrective actions from Safety risk assessments (i.e. machine guarding) Working knowledge of AUS / NZ Standards for compliance and quality in the food production environment or willing to attain About the benefits: An attractive salary package in line with your experience, skills and qualifications.
