An exciting opportunity is available within our Crew Training Department for the role of Ad hoc Audio-Visual Developer. While BNE base is preferred, we’re accepting interest in the role from Virgin Australia Crew based in BNE, MEL & SYD. ABOUT THE ROLE In the role of Ad hoc Audio-Visual Developer, you will be rostered on an ad hoc basis and will be responsible for producing engaging audio and visual content that supports training, communication, and brand initiatives by planning, storyboarding, scripts, filming, editing and postproduction. The role requires both collaboration with team members, portfolio holders, trainers, training standards and technical experts, as well as the ability to work independently, in a progressive environment delivering to scheduled timelines. When performing the role, successful candidates will gain exposure to and be a part of the Crew Training Department. This role involves supporting the development of regulatory and company mandated training for Virgin Australia, while continuing to maintain your primary duties as an operational cabin crew member. To be successful as an Ad hoc Audio-Visual Developer you will demonstrate: Advanced competency in audio-visual software packages and platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier Pro, Photoshop, Encore, Illustrator, After Effects, Media Encoder, Audition, Animate, Firefly), Davinci Resolve, Frame.io, Envato Elements and Vimeo High level of graphic design competency Role model crew behaviours Excellent verbal and written communication skills Operational Crew with minimum 6 months experience OR relevant qualifications/industry experience as listed above Comprehensive knowledge of company regulatory policies and procedures Excellent grooming standard Great to have: Experience developing audio-visual programs including filming, editing and postproduction Final Cut Pro or Avid editing experience Film and television industry experience Bachelor of Creative Arts (Film and screen production) Written & Video Application – Step 1: As part of your application, you are required to create and submit a short corporate video on any VAGP B9 or A4 manual topic, highlighting your audio-visual editing skills.
