Our Client Our client operates in a highly regulated environment and is responsible for delivering a major infrastructure project in Queensland. The Role As Senior Legal Counsel you will: Provide pragmatic advice on existing and new construction and commercial contracts; Draft, review and negotiate design, delivery and consultancy agreements; Manage contract variations, claims and risk mitigation processes; Support the management of contracts alongside project delivery and commercial teams; and Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive timely outcomes. This role reports directly to the General Counsel and offers genuine ownership over legal strategy for a significant initiative, with the support of the Executive Leadership Team. About You You are a senior construction and projects lawyer with at least 6 years’ post-admission experience, ideally gained in both private practice and in-house. You bring: A proven capability in construction and infrastructure projects; Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; and Resilience, pragmatism and an ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. You're a confident, adaptable lawyer who can quickly build rapport and contribute value from day one.
