We are looking to recruit a Grade 1 or Grade 2 Paediatric Speech Pathologist to provide services in our Child Allied Health Service. We provide health services, including speech pathology, to children from birth to school entry. Speech Pathologists are part of a broader multi-disciplinary team comprising Occupational Therapists, Developmental Psychologists, an Audiologist, and an Allied Health Assistant. The team work collaboratively to provide screening, assessment, intervention and referral services. Service provision embodies family- centred care within a social model of health. Services are mainly clinic-based, with occasional outreach appointments to early childhood education settings. You will make a difference by Working collaboratively with the Child Health Team to plan service delivery for the communities we serve in the Wyndham municipality with possible work in the Hobson’s Bay municipality also Assessing and reviewing children’s language, speech, and communication skills. Implementing client centred and holistic interventions that will address the needs and priorities of the children and their families. Delivering services in a variety of formats including clinical, telehealth, individual and group. Reflecting, evaluating, and modifying services to enhance outcomes. To succeed, you will need: Graduate or post-graduate degree in speech pathology. Grade 1: Some experience working in Paediatric Speech Pathology (desirable not essential). Emerging ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based services for children and families. Grade 2: Minimum 4 years experience working in Paediatric Speech Pathology Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based services for children and families. Willingness to learn and be supported by senior clinicians and colleagues. Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills. An ability to actively engage children and their families in service provision. Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check & Police check required.
