Become part of our team at the Perth WA location Instrument Technician (all genders) TASKS Perform installation, commissioning, and service tasks on GE LM2500 and LM6000 turbine control systems, including upgrades and retrofits Diagnose and resolve issues in turbine controls, instrumentation, and related systems to ensure optimal equipment performance Terminating instruments, configuring, hot loop testing, fault finding, initial calibration and annual maintenance calibration. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs Identify and resolve faults in HV/LV systems, PLCs, SCADA, and DCS Manage all phases of service projects, from pre-planning and mobilization to system startup and handover to customers Work closely with customers and project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high quality Address customer service requests promptly, providing on-site solutions and support during and after warranty periods Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports, timesheets, and project documentation, in line with MTU requirements Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to maintenance processes and suggesting equipment upgrades Mapping of LM2500 & LM6000 DLE combustion systems to achieve performance as required Collaborate with various MTU departments to support comprehensive service delivery Be prepared for travel and overtime, with travel requirements up to 50%, to meet customer needs across the region YOUR PROFILE Valid Electrical License (essential) Cert IV/Cert III Instrumentation with exposure to pneumatic and digital pressure control, instrument calibration and Gas quality and measurement systems viewed favorably Experience with different Control systems & Programmable Logic Controllers Proven experience in commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems in mining or heavy Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, control systems, and calibration processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation Knowledge of Australian standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and AS 2067 Understand and read Technical Documents such as P&ID’s, MDRs & O&M Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging site conditions Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills OUR OFFER We offer you numerous additional services that are tailored to your needs.
