We’re looking for a creative and strategic communicator to join a high-impact team focused on driving engagement with thought-provoking events. The Role As the Events Communications & Engagement Officer, you’ll lead the development of marketing and communications strategies for a national calendar of public policy and thought leadership events. From crafting compelling content and digital campaigns to amplifying keynote speakers and engaging diverse audiences, your work will shape how these events are seen and experienced. This position focuses on the strategic communication and engagement aspects of events – you’ll be working closely with internal comms, digital, and design teams to drive visibility and participation. A dedicated Events Administrator will handle the logistics, allowing you to focus on what you do best: creating impact through storytelling and engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end communications strategies for promoting events Develop engaging, high-quality copy across website, email, and social platforms Collaborate with internal teams to shape messaging that resonates with different audience segments Source and repurpose existing content (e.g. video highlights, research summaries) to fuel campaigns Coordinate social and digital content in collaboration with designers and contributors Build and deliver targeted email campaigns, working closely with the CRM team Support speaker coordination and provide on-the-ground comms support during events Contribute to post-event debriefs and campaign performance reviews About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or events Confident copywriter with a flair for turning complex ideas into clear, engaging messages Enjoys collaborating across teams and disciplines to deliver results Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Proactive and detail-oriented, with a creative mindset Comfortable using digital platforms such as Microsoft Office, Canva, WordPress, and CRMs A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment Willingness to attend events outside of regular office hours as needed Why Apply?
