About the Role We are seeking a Enrolled Nurse to provide under the direction of the Registered Nurse high quality nursing care for residents relevant to the role of an Enrolled Nurse. Key Role Accountabilities: Align one’s workplace behaviour in accordance with the WMQ Model of Care, the Wesley Charter and Wesley Mission Queensland’s Vision, Mission and Values. To assist in the delivery of nursing care to residents. To observe, monitor, interpret, document and report signs, symptoms and changes in residents’ status. To administer schedule 2, 3 and 4 medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. To contribute to the formulation and implementation of care plans. To assist in the orientation of new staff. To undertake procedures within the scope of knowledge and ability. To support and as appropriate direct other members of the nursing and Allied Health team. About You Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work. Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ policy. Current Enrolled Nurse Certificate with the Queensland Nursing Council with endorsement for Medication. Ability to provide high level nursing care within the Endorsed “Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice”. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including understanding of the requirement for clear, concise, accurate written and verbal communication. Demonstrated understanding of documentation of care given, including the ability to acquire knowledge / understanding of Nursing Care Plans and other care documentation. Understanding of and commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement principles. Understanding of and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety principles. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development. Willingness and ability to work within the Philosophies, Policies and Procedures of Wesley Mission Queensland and the Uniting Church in Australia. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance held before commencing. NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You completed before starting.
