ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently looking for a Technical assistant to join our Grazing Products team. The position will initially be a permanent part-time position (two days per week) however is within a new and growing team and will offer the chance to increase to full time. As the Technical Assistant (Grazing Products) you will play a key role in the Mort & Co Grazing products strategy by: Undertaking Faecal sampling and laboratory testing to produce DMD values, following relevant testing protocols; supporting with the implantation of new sampling and testing procedures; operating and monitoring NIR machinery and associated software, undertaking calibration as required to ensure both safety and efficiency; communicating with NIR machine supplier to ensure the required quality and outputs are achieved; supporting the broader Grazing Products department as required; undertaking procurement and maintaining laboratory equipment as required; ABOUT YOU The Key criteria for the position are: Experience in undertaking sampling and laboratory testing preferably in an agricultural setting. Strong technical skills including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Advanced organisational skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail.
