Job Summary: At HUB24, we are on a mission to transform the financial services landscape by building innovative platforms that empower financial advisers and make quality advice more accessible and affordable for all Australians. As a Data Engineer within our Licensee team, you'll play a key role in shaping and enhancing the HUBconnect Licensee product, leveraging your expertise in SQL, data, reporting, and software engineering. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Product and Delivery teams to onboard new customers and interpret their data needs. Translate business requirements into robust development, implementation, and integration solutions across the HUBconnect Licensee product. Design, develop, and enhance ETL processes and data transformation pipelines. Partner with testers, analysts, business stakeholders, and technical leads across the business to ensure high-quality deliverables. Provide ongoing support for existing systems and processes, including participation in a shared after-hours support roster. Upskill in modern data technologies such as Databricks and DBT , with opportunities to contribute to full-stack development and broaden your engineering capabilities. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Software Engineer. Strong understanding of relational database concepts and database design principles, particularly in Microsoft SQL Server . Advanced SQL development skills, with proven experience creating stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers in Microsoft SQL Server. Exposure to Modern Data Stacks , with specific experience in Databricks highly regarded. Proficiency in C# for building Web Services, Microservices , and ETL functions using Visual Studio. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience using testing tools such as Postman or similar automation platforms. Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD processes. Experience working within an Agile (SCRUM) development environment. Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Apigee Web Services is desirable.
