As our team continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Drainer to join our professional crew on a full-time basis. Key Duties and Responsibilities: As a Drainer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining stormwater and sewer drainage systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Your responsibilities will include: Reading and interpreting site plans, levels, and specifications for drainage works Excavating and preparing ground trenches for pipe laying using hand and machine tools Installing, repairing, and replacing stormwater and sewer pipes and associated infrastructure Assembling and positioning pipes and pipe fittings, joining pipe sections using cement or other sealing methods Ensuring proper alignment, gradient, and positioning of pipes and pits Backfilling and compacting trenches after installation to ensure surface stability Operating and maintaining a range of plant and equipment relevant to drainage works Complying with occupational health and safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment Liaising with supervisors and other trades to ensure seamless project progress Requirements: Relevant qualifications At least 2-3 years' proven experience in drainage or civil construction Knowledge of relevant codes, safety regulations, and standards Ability to read construction drawings and use laser levels Competence operating relevant tools and machinery Relevant tickets (e.g., Excavator, Confined Space, Trenching) - desirable Physical fitness to carry out manual work in varying conditions A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team Salary: $76,515 to $80,000 Superannuation Ready to take on a key role in a growing civil works team?
