Your Employer Our client, a leading agribusiness in Emerald, QLD, is seeking a skilled Machinery Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and coordination of farm machinery and equipment. This full-time role supports Farm Operations Activities and ensures our daily operations are smooth and efficient. Your Role As a Machinery Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing farm machinery operations, ensuring equipment is maintained in optimal condition, and overseeing a team of operators to meet production goals. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, organization, and leadership in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the operation of farm machinery and equipment. Supervise and support a team of machine operators, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and on schedule. Provide hands-on support by operating machinery when required. Perform routine maintenance and servicing of farm machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation. Implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime. Conduct safety checks, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards. Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to operators to meet farm production needs. Monitor and evaluate production records and reports to ensure operational efficiency. Maintain accurate records of machinery use, maintenance, and safety compliance. Act as a frontline leader, ensuring operators receive clear instructions, training, and support. Collaborate with farm management to align machinery operations with overall farm goals. Ensure all team members adhere to farm safety protocols and operational procedures. Skills & Experience Qualifications: Relevant diploma or certification in machinery operation, agriculture, or a related field (preferred). Chemical Certification and mobile equipment licenses. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, supervising machinery operations in an agricultural setting. Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team of machine operators. Hands-on experience with farm machinery, including spraying, slashing, and pruning equipment. Technical & Leadership Skills: Strong understanding of machinery maintenance and operation. Ability to prepare and manage work schedules effectively. Knowledge of OHS principles and a commitment to workplace safety. Good computer skills for maintaining records and reporting.
