Description About the Role As an Early Years Co-Educator, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Working collaboratively with teachers and lead educators, you will support play-based learning experiences, facilitate small group activities, and contribute to children’s wellbeing. We are seeking both casual and permanent employees who will have a proactive, hands-on approach to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating space for early childhood education. The key responsibilities are to: Work closely with teachers and educators to deliver enriching student learning experiences. Provide a safe and caring environment, ensuring children’s wellbeing and development. Facilitate small group activities, that connect to both individual and group planning cycles. Support daily routines, including meal times and hygiene practices, with sensitivity and respect. Assist in documenting student learning through observations, analysis of planned learning experiences and reflections. Develop and maintain well-organised and engaging learning spaces, both indoors and outdoors. Model and encourage positive social interactions, responsibility, and collaboration with children, families and colleagues. Uphold child protection policies and ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements. Administer first aid as needed and contribute to overall student wellbeing. Skills And Experiences About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent). A deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. Demonstrated experience in engaging positively with young children and their families. Strong skills in fostering children’s social and emotional development. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively. A proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach to challenges. A commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
