With a reputation for reliability and results, they operate a fleet of 25 heavy vehicles including side tippers, end tippers, and float equipment – servicing major infrastructure and civil works across Western Australia. They are now seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and help drive the business into its next phase of development. The Role As the Transport Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the full operational control of the transport division — ensuring compliance, efficiency, and ongoing performance of the fleet and team. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director, where you’ll have oversight of compliance (HVA/Fatigue/CoR), maintenance coordination, scheduling, and business development. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily transport operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and load management Ensure full compliance with all relevant transport laws and regulations (HVA, CoR, NHVR) Work hand-in-hand with the Workshop Manager to schedule and monitor vehicle maintenance and servicing Manage and lead a team of drivers, operators, and logistics staff Provide clear, accurate reporting on fleet performance, downtime, revenue, and KPIs to the MD Identify and pursue new business opportunities and tenders to help grow the operation Foster a strong safety-first culture across all operations Develop operational strategies to optimise fleet utilisation and minimise downtime You’ll Bring Proven experience in a senior transport or operations management role within civil or heavy haulage In-depth knowledge of NHVR, CoR, fatigue management, and vehicle compliance Strong leadership and people management skills Commercial acumen – able to analyse performance and contribute to strategic decisions Solid understanding of plant and equipment including tippers, floats, and other heavy gear Competency in logistics systems, Microsoft Office, and transport management platforms Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills The Offer Salary up to $200,000 Super Perth-based role, Monday–Friday with flexibility as needed Opportunity to shape and grow a high-performing division Be part of a values-driven team with solid leadership and exciting projects ahead Ready to Drive the Future of Transport?
