Federal Government Long term Contract Canberra Location Job Details The federal government department requires a Senior Infra-Security Engineer (Identity Access Manager - IDAM) . The Senior Infra-Security Engineer is responsible for securing and protecting Windows-based systems and infrastructure. This includes designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Windows environments, as well as responding to security incidents and threats targeting those systems. They work to harden systems, manage access, and ensure the overall security of the Windows environment within the organization. Key Duties Assess identity, authentication, and access systems for misconfigurations and security issues. Provide recommendations for improving cybersecurity posture across various systems. Communicate with a broad range of stakeholders (technical and non-technical), including conducting workshops to highlight security issues and their solutions. Collaborate with teams to automate and improve access processes. Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulations. Technical Skills Experience in administering and securing Microsoft Active Directory and/or other directory services. Experience in administering and securing Microsoft Entra and M365. Experience in deploying and securing Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions (CyberArk, ManageEngine, BeyondTrust, etc.). Experience with cloud-based technologies and solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP). Requirements Understanding of IAM principles. Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance. Experience with Active Directory or other directory services. Experience with cloud-based technologies and solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure AD). Understanding of network security concepts, scripting, and automation. Additional Requirements Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be Australian citizens with an NV1 clearance.
