As part of their strategic plans for 2025 an opportunityfor a National Distribution Manager has come to the market. The Role reportsto the General Manager of Supply Chain, and is a key leadership role with accountability for the stability, performance, and strategic direction of a 10-site DC network across Australia and a team of 160 nationally. Thefocus is on leading with clarity, consistency, and commercial discipline — while building a future-fit logistics network that delivers strong service and customer outcomes. As part of the broader transformation, the business has recently implementedSAP S4Hana with EWM and TM to enable long-term efficiency, visibility, and standardisation across the supply chain. This role will play a key part in embedding operational practices and leadership capability to support that evolution. Key responsibilities include: Lead, coach, and develop DC Managers across the national network, building capability and a culture of accountability Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees, contractors, and visitors across all distribution sites Own the national logistics OPEX and performance metrics, ensuring consistent service delivery and cost control Partner with senior stakeholders in sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to drive end-to-end customer experience Align the distribution network with national strategy, policies, and procedures, ensuring operational consistency Lead operational improvement initiatives and implement best practice processes across all sites Deliver leadership development and training programs for distribution employees Drive a culture of customer-centricity through collaboration and continuous improvement We are looking for a senior logistics leader (Head of Logistics or equivalent) with proven experience managing a large, national DC footprint in complex, high-volume environments. Experience supporting or successfully delivering SAP (or major Warehouse or Transport management ERP) implementations is preferred, but not essential. We are looking for someone experienced in supporting and coaching the leadership team of a large, geographically dispersed distribution network. A background in heavy industry, infrastructure, or building products is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute operator with a strong track record of cost control, leading change, and delivering operational excellence. They’ll bring high emotional intelligence, strong cross-functional and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to lead a mature, and an operationally capable team.
